Jack Derby
As one of New England’s pre-eminent business advisors, Jack Derby coaches senior executives and their staffs on business planning, sales, and marketing strategies and tactics.
An accomplished entrepreneur and corporate executive, he is a member of the board of several emerging companies, chair of the Boston chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, and a director of Associated Industries of Massachusetts.
Prior to forming Derby Management in 1990, Derby was CEO of Mayer Electronics Corporation, president of CB Sports, president of Litton Industries Medical Systems, CEO of Datamedix Corporation, and president of Becton Dickinson Medical Systems. He has been named to Mass High Tech’s All Star Team and is quoted often in The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, and The Boston Herald.
Ed Marram
As director of Babson’s Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship, Ed Marram, a high-tech entrepreneur with more than three decades of experience, is responsible for all administrative activities and programs, and oversees implementation of outreach programs in entrepreneurship.
He also supervises co-curricular activities and helps extend Babson’s brand worldwide.
An adjunct professor at Babson for 20 years, Marram regularly lectures on entrepreneurship and issues facing high-growth businesses in graduate and executive education programs. Earlier in his career, he was the founder, president, and CEO of Geo-Centers, Inc., a high technology, professional services firm which was recognized twice by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest-growing, privately held companies in the United States. He sold the company in 2005.
Rich Silton
Rich Silton is president of Silton & Company, a Massachusetts-based company dedicated to supporting owners and senior executives of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations with comprehensive management services that rapidly and permanently improve performance.
Past positions include president and COO of Access TCA, Inc., a trade show exhibit design company, COO of a leading regional accounting firm, president and CEO of Kaon Interactive Inc., a 3D software company, president of First Notice Systems (subsidiary of Concentra Managed Care, Inc.), a workers compensation claims management company, and CEO of Champagne/ Lafayette Communications, Inc., an integrated marketing communications firm.
