Stephen Haig has over 20 years of financial, accounting and IT experience, with a fairly even distribution of time in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. Most recently at AMS, Stephen has served as Interim Controller for a private school. Since joining AMS in 2007, Stephen has also served as, the project controller for NewBridge on the Charles, a $500M real estate development project of Hebrew SeniorLife located in Dedham MA and the part time CFO of a fast-growing nonprofit startup, and assisted in controllership and budget manager roles at several other clients.

Stephen’s prior accounting experience includes roles as the Director of Finance for a $3M NFP with publishing, training and conference operations; Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis at a publicly-traded software firm; and Budget Manager for a private secondary school. His extensive IT experience included roles at PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a Manager of Operational & Systems Risk Management and as Project Manager for an Oracle implementation at Copyright Clearance Center. He has excellent systems implementation knowledge and brings an in-depth understanding of Excel to his clients.

Stephen is highly skilled in a number of financial software packages, which include Peachtree, QuickBooks, Epicor, Timberline, FRx, and Microsoft Office, with a particular expertise in the finer points of Excel. He earned a B.A. degree, Cum Laude, from Harvard University, and has studied finance and accounting at the graduate level at Bentley College.
