WALTHAM, Mass. – May 13, 2009 – Accounting Management Solutions, Inc. (AMS), the leading provider of accounting, financial management, and consulting services to public, private, and nonprofit organizations in the Northeast, has been named one of the fastest-growing private companies in Massachusetts by the Boston Business Journal (BBJ) for the fourth consecutive year.

The latest ranking, released recently by in the BBJ, put AMS at no. 30 among the region’s fastest-growing private companies, and marks the fourth time since 2006 that AMS has ranked among the top 30 companies.

“We’ve been able to continue to grow rapidly because we have outstanding employees and we are committed to our client’s success, and they are helping to spread the word about the quality and breadth of our services,” said AMS President James P. Bourdon.

He noted that hiring experienced professionals who can independently develop cost-effective solutions to a wide range of financial management issues is key to maintaining rapid growth while consistently delivering high-quality services.

To be considered for inclusion on this year’s BBJ list — Area’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies — companies needed to have achieved at least $500,000 in 2006 revenues or $10 million in 2008. Rankings were based on 2005-2008 revenue growth. AMS revenues in 2008 were $15.9 million, up from $6.3 million in 2005.
