• Review and/or implement financial systems, including the set-up of QuickBooks and creation of a chart of accounts.
• Review and/or create Policies and Procedures for the finance functions, including identifying best practices and processes.
• Review and/or create the Human Resource functions associated with finance, including payroll, insurance, etc.
• Review and/or assist in the identification and selection of a CPA firm.
• Review and/or assist in preparing for an audit review.

On-going Advisory and Financial Services:

• Assist the Director of Business and Operations as needed to close the School’s books, identify areas of priority to apply resources, advise on issues specific to charter schools.
• Participate in the preparation for the annual audit.
• Provide guidance and help to prepare and manage the budget process.
• Attend periodic internal management meetings and requisite board and/or finance committee meetings, on an as-needed basis.
• Special projects, as requested.
